Written and directed by Ritesh Batra, the Indian indie hit movie Lunchbox, has won
hearts at the 10th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
Lunchbox, which tells the story of a bittersweet connection between two lonely
souls in Mumbai linked by a dabbawala’s (a person who delivers freshly cooked
food in lunchboxes to office workers) mistaken delivery, has won awards at
festivals worldwide.
Batra and actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nimrat Kaur attended the premiere of
the movie with Masoud Amralla Al Ali, artistic director of DIFF.
The festival runs until Saturday 14 December 2013.
