SCREEN AFRICA EXCLUSIVE: KFC South Africa’s Add Hope campaign highlights World Hunger Relief Month from 1 October to 9 November by replacing the image of the company’s iconic colonel with the face of a child in 114 KFC stores countrywide.

Add Hope is an ongoing initiative developed by KFC parent company, YUM! International. All year round, KFC customers have the option of adding R2 to their order, contributing to a campaign that now feeds 40,000 hungry South African children every month.

KFC Africa managing director Doug Smart says: “KFC Add Hope brings our brand, customers and staff together to make a differencebecause we quite simply believea hungry nation can never be a growing one.’

South Africans are encouraged to show their support and take part in the social responsibility campaign by swapping their social network profile pictures for one of the six smiling faces featured as part of the drive.
