On 14 April 2013, the family of late Bahraini writer Mohamed Al Majed presented Gulf
Film Festival (GFF) director Masoud Amralla Al Ali with the Mohamed Al Majed Creativity
Award in recognition of his vast contribution to Gulf cinema.
“It is a great honour to be selected for the Mohamed Al Majed Creativity Award.
Mohamed Al Majed inspired many generations throughout his career and we were deeply
devastated by the loss of this great artist. This award will undoubtedly continue his
legacy for many years to come,’ said Masoud Amralla Al Ali.
The Mohamed Al Majed Creativity Award will be presented by the writer’s family
annually to a prominent figure in the world of Gulf cinema.
The sixth edition of the GFF takes place until Wednesday 17 April at Dubai Festival City.
