The 3rd annual New Voices in Black Cinema, presented by Brooklyn-based ActNow Foundation in partnership with BAMcinematek runs from 15 to 18 February in the US.
The festival showcases 10 New York premieres such as Neil Drumming’s Big Words with Dorian Missick and Yaya Alafia, the surreal Alain Gomis directed by Saul Williams and the wrongful imprisonment documentary, The Central Park Five, with three of the “five’ in attendance.
Ralph Scott’s short film Barbasol, Kecia Benson’s blues music documentary, Beale Street Blues, and Everything Absolutely, a collaboration by Terence Nance and Natalie Paul, will also screen.
