In an attempt to gain new ground NewsCentral Media reports that BlackBerry 10, the cornerstone of the turnaround strategy of the company formerly known as Research in Motion, has arrived. Along with it are two brand new BlackBerry devices, a touchscreen model, the Z10 and a hybrid keyboard and touch version, the Q10.
BlackBerry says its product line is “re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented’.
The Z10 is expected to go on sale in South Africa within weeks and the Q10 will go on sale in April.
However, neither device will offer BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS), the flat-rate Internet packages that have helped make the brand popular in South Africa and other emerging markets.
BlackBerry still has to announce pricing for the products in South Africa.
