Ben Affleck has reason to celebrate this weekend after he was honoured as Best Director at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Thursday, 10 January, just days before the Golden Globes ceremony takes place. His film, Argo, also received the award for Best Movie.
Daniel-Day Lewis, the frontrunner as best actor of the awards’ season, said in his acceptance speech of his Critics’ Choice Movie Award that Lincoln was one of the great unforeseen privileges of his life. Jessica Chastain won Best Actress for her role in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty.
