Video technology solutions company Grass Valley has won a CSI (Cable & Satellite International) Award for its 3G Transmission system. The panel of judges, which consists of industry experts and thought leaders, chose 3G Transmission as the best workflow / asset management / automation solution.
Presented at a ceremony at the recent IBC2012 in Amsterdam, the CSI Awards are some of the most comprehensive and competitive technology awards, honoring excellence for technical and product marketing in the cable, satellite, terrestrial broadcasting, IPTV, online/internet video and mobile TV sectors.
The Grass Valley 3G Transmission system is a unique and innovative solution that gives outside broadcasters the freedom to use fiber or triax, or a mixture of the two, This offers OB companies much more flexibility and productivity from their vehicles, freeing them to pitch for any job and eliminating the need for costly downtime to re-equip – a real competitive advantage.
