The 2012 Wildscreen Panda Awards shortlist has been whittled down from 491 films from 46 countries. Saving Rhino Phila and Survival Stars: Home Sweet Home are the two South African productions nominated.
Survival Stars: Home Sweet Home is nominated in the Children’s Choice Award category. It was produced by Earth-Touch.
NHU Africa’s Saving Rhino Phila is nominated in the Nature Conservancy Environment and Conservation category.
Botswana’s Dereck Joubert has been nominated for a Cinematography award for The Last Lions. This production is also nominated in the Music Award category and the Theatre Awards category.
Wildscreen runs from 14 to 19 October in Bristol, England.
