The Loeries, South Africa’s premier brand communication awards, will again partner with out-of-home media solutions company ADreach in 2012. ADreach will sponsor special prizes for the Street Pole category and the Integrated Campaign category at The 34th Annual Loerie Awards.
Brad Fisher, CEO of ADreach Group says: “We believe that this is an industry built around creativity and effective use of the medium. We embrace the creative ideas that drive it forward. Our focus for Street Pole Ads over the last 12 months has been to encourage a call to action to drive potential customers onto their mobile phones, thereby creating a digital component to the campaign.’
Fisher adds, “Through smarter media mix choices and creative execution designed to work well and dovetail across all mediums, integrated campaigns allow the various media components to interact synergistically – resulting in greater impact.’
The winner of the ADreach Street Pole Award will automatically be entered into the outdoor advertising category at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival of Creativity. In addition, the winning agency will receive a trip for two to attend the event in Cannes.
The ADreach Integrated Campaign Award goes to the winning brand in the Integrated Campaign category. The recipient will receive R100,000 worth of street pole media space with ADreach.
Last year’s winner of the ADreach Street-Pole Award was Ogilvy Cape Town for the Stimorol Yoda campaign. Copywriter Kate Desmarais and art director Thandolwethu Silimela were the lucky two who got to attend the event in Cannes.
This year, the winner of all Loeries categories, including the ADreach special prizes, will again be announced at the awards ceremonies in Cape Town. Tickets and accommodation are now open for booking.
Anyone involved in the creation, publishing or production of the work (including directly from the brand, agency or production company) can enter The Loerie Awards. The work must be conceived and produced within Africa (including island states off the African coast, e.g. Mauritius, Madagascar and the Seychelles) and the Middle East.
Entries for The 34th Annual Loerie Awards are open and can submitted until 31 May 2012. To submit an entry into the Street Pole or Integrated campaign categories (or any other Loeries category) go to www.theloerieawards.co.za. Here you will find step by step guidelines on entry criteria, eligibility, preparation instructions, fees, judging procedure and more.
