The Goethe-Institut presents the first Total Recall Johannesburg – a festival in which people will retell a film experience they’ve had – to be held on 20 April at Bassline Newtown. This project was first created in 1999, based on an idea by Bernd Terstegge and realised with Axel Ganz.
Anyone who would like to retell their favourite film is warmly invited to take part in this event. Those who would rather talk about their worst experience in cinema are also welcome.
Each participant has 10 minutes to present one film. No props, recorded sound or images will be allowed. The audience will decide by the end of the evening who deserves fame, recognition and the Total Recall trophy.
