South African music radio station has a new face and voice behind weekday mornings in the 9am–12pm slot, well known voiceover artist Rob Forbes, who is graduating to the big league after almost eight years at campus radio station Tuks FM.
“At campus radio I hosted everything from the Top 30 to the afternoon drive show and more recently the breakfast show for the last three years. I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team at 5FM. It’s an absolute dream come true for me and it represents the culmination of years of hard work. The opportunity to be able to “live’ a brand like 5FM is an immense privilege and I cannot wait to share my own relaxed, fun and informative style on the new show,’ says Forbes.
Joining Forbes behind the microphone will be show contributor Fikile “Fix’ Moeti. “5FM will always be family to me,’ she says. “For the last year I’ve been overseas studying business entrepreneurship at an arts campus in America. I can’t tell you how glad I am to be back home and I “m very excited to be working with Rob Forbes.’
5FM announces another new show hosted by Poppy Ntshongwana which airs from 5pm–7pm on Sunday nights as from April. Ntshongwana will feature recent old school hits plus Top 40 shakers.
