Cannes Lions goes Mobile

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which takes place in Cannes, France from 17 to 23 June, has introduced a Mobile category to celebrate the best in mobile communications.

Mobile Lions will honour work that lives on or is activated by a mobile device, app or the mobile web for the first time. This category recognises the increasing importance of mobile in the media mix for many campaigns.

Sub-categories of Mobile Lions include: creative use of technology; mobile applications; games; mobile websites and web apps; tablets and other devices; games; messaging campaigns (including sms); mms and mobile email; best integrated campaign led by mobile; rich media advertising for mobile devices; and craft.
