Described as the world’s largest, most international and most prestigious wildlife and environmental film festival, the 2012 edition of Wildscreen will take place in Bristol, UK from Sunday, 14 October to Friday, 19 October.
Held since 1982, the Wildscreen Festival has helped nurture and shape the natural history filmmaking industry as we know it today – providing the finest platform for exchanging ideas, sharing best practice, showcasing productions, and offering world class training opportunities.
The Festival is a real ‘Who’s Who’ of the industry, attracting over 550 delegates from some 40-plus countries for a week of thought provoking lectures and debates, film screenings, workshops and master classes.
Playing host to industry heavyweights, the Festival is also an essential international marketplace, where films are bought and sold, commissions and collaborations established, and new talent is discovered.
The pinnacle of the week is, of course, the prestigious Panda Awards – regarded as the highest accolade within the wildlife and environmental filmmaking industry.
A call for entries will be issued in January.
