The new South African film Skeem made the number six spot in UIP’s Top 8 for the weekend of 11 to 13 November. On release with 15 prints, the film had made R430,331 by the end of the weekend.
Two other South African films are still on circuit. How to Steal 2 Million (1 print), which has been on release for 10 weeks, has made R1.6 to date. State of Violence (1print) has made R58,198 in three weeks of release.
The Kenya-UK-SA co-production, The First Grader (2 prints), has made R641,323 in eight weeks of release.
