Three South African films continue their box office campaigns at the local cinemas. The animated Jock of the Bushveld (including 3D) (62 prints) has made a massive R9.8m in five weeks of release and was in the number six spot of the Combined Top 10 for the weekend of 26 to 28 August.
The Bang Bang Club (4 prints), the real life story of four news photographers on the frontline of the anti-apartheid struggle, has made R1.2m in six weeks.
Retribution (11 prints), directed by Mukunda Devil, has made R64,399 in two weeks of release.
