The new South African film, Man on Ground, has been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place from 8 to 18 September. This will be the film’s world premiere.
Written and directed by Johannesburg-based Akin Omotoso (God is African, Rifle Road), Man on Ground will be showcased in the Contemporary World Cinema category at Toronto and will screen on 12, 13 and 17 September.
Produced by T.O.M Pictures, 1 Take Media and Rosie Motene Productions, Man on the Ground explores the complex themes of xenophobia, identity, fear and reconciliation.
