As at 14 August, the South African animated Jock of the Bushveld 3D (77 prints) had made a whopping R7.6m after only three weeks of release.
Meanwhile, the hard-hitting true life story, The Bang Bang Club (7 prints), had made R1.1m after four weeks of release.
The biggest earner over the weekend in question was new release Zookeeper (66 prints) which made R1.4m.
Second biggest earner was Captain America (including 3D) (83 prints), which made R1.2m over the weekend and has accumulated R5.9m after two weeks of release.
