The British royal family is showing their willingness to embrace the digital era by having the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton streamed live on video sharing website YouTube, according to The Guardian.
The four-hour coverage on YouTube on Friday 29 April will include the Westminster Abbey ceremony, the route to Buckingham Palace and the balcony appearance by the newlyweds, with a video wedding book for the public to sign.
There will also be a Twitter feed (already boasting 34,000 followers) and the wedding will be chronicled on an official website, on Facebook and on photo-sharing website Flickr. Prince William’s press office is also reported to be preparing a live blog with commentary.
