TechCentral reports that the Competition Commission has found in favour of South African mobile phone operators MTN and Vodacom, both of whom have been under investigation since 2004 for alleged price fixing.
The case will not be referred to the Competition Tribunal as no evidence was found of price fixing.
The complaints that had been brought against the two mobile networks included one relating specifically to wholesale mobile termination rates and the fees operators charge each other to carry calls between their networks.
