The Dance Umbrella, which runs at various venues in Johannesburg until 6 March, will screen two international films at The Nunnery, Wits Campus.
Auf Der Suche Nach Tanz, by the late German modern dance choreographer Pina Bausch, will screen on Tuesday, 1 March at 5.30pm.
Another Bausch film, Cafe Muller Fruhlingsopfer, will screen on Thursday 3 March at 6pm.
At both screenings a talk will be given by Norbet Servos from Germany, who will be in South Africa in partnership with the Goethe-Institut, South Africa.
Norbet was a co-founder of the magazine Ballett International and for seven years was a member of the editorial board. During this time the magazine developed into the leading dance magazine in Europe.
Since 1983 he has worked as a freelance choreographer and writer and has published 15 books on Pina Bausch and the development of German Dance Theatre.
