Angelina Jolie’s new spy saga, Salt, opened in top spot at the South African box office on 3 September and made R2.2m over the weekend.
Step Up 3 (including 3D) was in second spot and has made R15.2 since its release on 13 August.
The A-Team, starring South Africa’s Sharlto Copley was in sixth spot over the weekend. It has made R3.8m in three weeks of release.
The biggest earner in the Top 10 is Shrek Forever After (including 3D). It now stands at R23m.
Unlike previous weeks, there were no South African films on the Sterk-Kinekor, UIP or Nu Metro Top 8 lists for the weekend.
