BBC World Cup promo

The Guardian reports that the BBC is advertising its upcoming TV coverage of next month’s 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa with a 60-second “Rainbow Nation’ like promo. It combines shots of some of the tournament’s players with sequences of African wildlife and culture.

The feel good ad, which reportedly showcases South Africa’s rich heritage, is obviously designed to counter all the negative publicity around South Africa in the UK which was sparked by the allegedly racially-motivated murder of right-wing leader Eugene Terreblanche.
