News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch is still campaigning against search engines such as Google for using news stories from his media platforms without paying for the content. He wants to put up paywalls around his newspaper websites, according to The Guardian.
He is adamant that the newspaper industry charge for online content and use copyright laws to prevent its journalism from being poached by search engines.
In the meantime, Murdoch has expressed his support of Apple’s iPad and believes it might save the newspaper industry.
