Chief Executive of parastatal signal distributor Sentench Sebiletso Mokone-Matabane has resigned, many months prior to the expiry of her contract in September. Meanwhile, Sentech is on the verge of implementing a “turnaround’ strategy to address its financial and managerial problems and is reportedly about to announce a new board.
Sentech has made no announcements regarding an acting Chief Executive while it searches for a permanent replacement for Mokone-Matabane.
As per the turnaround strategy, the Department of Communications will request quarterly performance and financial reports from Sentech, which provides the broadcasting signals for the SABC, e.tv and community radio stations.
