While social networking site Facebook continues to grow on a weekly basis (it now has 400 million users, 50% of which log in daily), the micro blogging site Twitter, which reached 23.5 million users in August 2009, might well have hit saturation point.
According to a study by Barracuda Networks, Twitter’s growth rate in December 2009 had dropped to 0.15%. This is in sharp contrast to April 2009, where growth was at nearly 20%. Additionally, a large percentage of Twitter accounts are inactive.
