Big Fish School of Digital Filmmaking, the award winning film school, is offering a fully sponsored National Certificate in Filmmaking – NQF 5. This course is available to those with a minimum of three years experience in any aspect of filmmaking and who wish to further develop and expand their skills.
The objectives of the training are to::
- Expand on current knowledge, upskilling those who have already proved commitment and passion to the industry
- Create simulated and actual workplace experience for participants
- Assist predominantly previously disadvantaged individuals who have had little or no formal training or who have had to “drop out’ of previous projects due to lack of funds.
Training is project focused, working in all disciplines and specializing in chosen electives.
Course content includes technical specialization in directing, cinematography, production management/producing, editing, sound, research and understanding script.
DURATION: 24 weeks (8 Months)
TIMES: 09H00 – 16H30, Monday to Friday

APPLICATION CRITERIA: Only energetic, organized, entrepreneurial, committed, reliable and innovative individuals to apply. Minimum three years experience in the industry or previous tertiary training.
Tutoring and mentoring by South Africa’s top leading professionals and using state- of-the-art equipment, those available for the 24 week period should apply.
