Sound editor/designer Barry Donnelly has been awarded a Golden Reel by The Motion Picture Sound Editors for ADR mixing on Generation Kill: Get Some
This multi award winning mini series for HBO Films, is the story of a Rolling Stone reporter who writes about his experience during the first wave of the American led assault of Baghdad in 2003.
He also won a SAFTA for Best Sound Design in a feature film, for The World Unseen, earlier this year.
Donnelly’s extensive CV includes Sound Design and Final Mixing for numerous features, documentaries, TV series and commercials, which include local productions Cruise Ship Diaries, Hansie, White Wedding, Confessions of a Gambler, Tornado and Mr Bones 2.
Donnelly, who is based at Waterfront Studios in Cape Town, has recorded ADR for many international films and TV series including The Departed, The Deal, Blood Diamond, The Flood, Prime Evil and The Breed.
