The SABC interim Board denied on Wednesday 30 September that four executives, namely Robin Nicholson (Chief Financial Officer), Mvuzo Mbebe (Group Executive-Content Enterprises), Mabela Satekge (Head: Procurement) and Anton Heunis (Head: Audience Services), have been suspended. The suspension of the executives, following the report released last week on the SABC by the Auditor-General, was reported by certain media.
“These media reports are incorrect, with the intent to mislead the public and they undermine the processes which have been set-up to deal with the contents of the Auditor-General report,’ stated the SABC in its denouncement of the suspensions.
“The fact of the matter is that the Interim Board has not yet suspended anyone based on the Auditor-General report. Whatever decisions are made by the Interim Board, regarding the report will accordingly be communicated to all stakeholders.’
