New stands at IBC this year are from Asia, the US, and the Middle East. More than 40 organisations have confirmed for the Emerging Media Zones, with the Open IPTV Forum and Oracle headlining the briefings for the IPTV and Mobile zones.
This year’s Digital Signage Business Briefings include speakers from media researcher Screen Digest, vendors Cable & Wireless, and screen suppliers Lighthouse Technologies.
The full training schedule is now available. For example, there’s a production session to help delegates plan and budget for a multi-camera high definition event, from links to lighting, while a post-production session will teach how to interact with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator files for streamlined workflow, and add camera and lights to work in 3D.
On the conference side, confirmed headline speakers include Eurosport’s Arnaud Simon, the BBC’s Erik Huggers, Sky’s Andrew Hawken and IBM’s Saul J Berman.

A free What Caught My Eye session, Media on the move (from 09.30 on Monday, 14 September 2009, Room 0), explores the possibilities, illustrating the strengths of mobile devices with examples from some of the best exhibited at IBC. It is one of three What Caught My Eye sessions, where industry experts in key areas track down the hottest new products and developments, then report back in a short but enlightening free session.
