All those still wishing to enter South Africa’s premier brand communication awards, the Loeries, have until Friday, 5 June to do so. This is the final extension.
Entries from the whole of Africa and the Middle East are eligible. The Loeries recognise only the best in creative excellence across television, radio and print advertising, communication design, architecture and interior design, direct marketing, promotions, public relations (PR), non-broadcast video, live events and digital media.
Several new awards have been introduced this year:
The New Voice Radio Award: Launched by the Loeries in conjunction with the SABC to promote the production of non-English radio advertising.
The Creative Use of Paper Award: In partnership with Sappi, all paper-based entries are automatically eligible for this prize.
Mobile Advertising Award: In partnership with Vodacom Mobile Advertising this new award recognises the recent growth in the use of mobile devices in the advertising mix. Internet Advertising Award: Compliments of a Secret Sponsor, this award promotes creativity using Internet advertising including pop-up windows, banner adverts and interstitial pages.
Finalists will be announced in July and the winners celebrated at two glittering awards ceremonies to be held at the Good Hope Centre in Cape Town on 25 and 26 September. In addition, all winning work is published in a glossy hard-covered annual and will be included in The Loeries Travelling Exhibition that travels both locally and internationally throughout the year.
