As the membership of the Screen Actors Guild of America (SAG) decides whether or not to accept the latest and final offer from the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPT) regarding its prime time feature contract, several SAG members can be seen campaigning on YouTube.
The high profile likes of Oscar winner Tom Hanks is currently on YouTube telling viewers why he’s voting ‘Yes’ to the contract. Other ‘Yes’ voters who are also on YouTube are Adam Arkin, Amy Brenneman, Kate Walsh, Stephen Collins, Ed Begley Jr and several others.
Comic actor Rob Schneider can be seen supporting a ‘No’ vote.
Should there be an over-whelming ‘No’ vote, SAG may well go on strike. The unresolved issue of the SAG/AMPTP contract has been dragging on for a year, resulting in much uncertainty in Hollywood. (Source: The Wrap)
