American Airlines has launched an Internet service on certain non-stop flights between New York and San Francisco, and Los Angeles and Miami. Called Gogo, the service will give passengers the option of renting movies streamed to their laptops.
The service will be tested on 15 aircraft for between three to six months. Aircell, which provides the on-board telephone service for the airline, will supply the broadband.
