Following news of increased support for Unite for Strength, the breakaway group of dissidents within the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), comes the news that the union’s New York members are demanding intervention in the stalemated negotiations between SAG and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP) regarding a new prime time contract. The New York contingent want a federal mediator to enter the picture.
