Despite the fact that the Screen Actors Guild of America (SAG) contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP) expired on 30 June, the union has stated that it doesn’t intend striking “any time soon’.
According to SAG president Alan Rosenberg, no steps to initiate a strike authorisation vote by its members have been taken thus far. Rosenberg added that SAG’s negotiating team was still meeting the AMPTP daily in the hopes of finding a resolution to the current impasse. and signing a new contract.
