New York Increases Film Tax Credit

As if Hollywood didn’t have enough to worry about with the ever increasing likelihood of an actors’ strike, now Los Angeles may experience runaway productions to New York, which has just increased its film tax credit.

TV network ABC plans to move its production of the award-winning sitcom Ugly Betty to New York. This means that two-thirds of the show’s 150 crew member are in danger of losing their jobs. (Source: Los Angeles Times)
