The 2007 Loerie Awards winners will be on display in Namibia at the Windhoek offices of DV8 Saatchi & Saatchi from 21 to 25 April. Regarded as South Africa’s (and Africa’s) premier brand communication awards, the Loeries were launched in 1979 as a mechanism to promote television advertising. Today the Awards encompass all aspects of brand communication, including architecture and design.
Said Mark Bongers, MD of DV8 Saatchi & Saatchi, Windhoek: “As a showcase of South African creative excellence, The Loeries Travelling Exhibition affords professionals in the Namibian industry, students and the public in general to get a broader view of work created within the regional context. When we hosted the exhibition last year we had an excellent turnout and very positive feedback.’
The Travelling Exhibition, which is sponsored by public broadcaster SABC, will be moving around South Africa exhibiting at several educational institutions, corporate headquarters, the Aardklop Festival, and even going as far as New York.
Meanwhile, the final deadline for entries for this year’s Loerie Awards is 16 May 2008.
