Executives of public broadcaster SABC have released a statement expressing confidence and support of the leadership of Group CEO Dali Mpofu, who was the subject of recent media reports which claimed that he is at loggerheads with the SABC board over certain issues.
The statement expresses concerns about the leakage to the press of a memo written by the chairperson of the SABC and “factual inaccuracies’ in both the memo and media reports.
At a meeting held on 15 April, the executives elected Phumelele Ntombela-Nzimade as its spokesperson on this issue. The executives are seeking a meeting with the SABC board no later than the end of this week. (Source: bizcommunity.com)
