Time Warner is to cut 450 jobs at New Line Cinema, following the decision in February to merge the studio with Warner Bros Entertainment.
As part of the merger, New Line will maintain separate development, production, marketing, distribution and business-affairs operations, but will closely integrate and coordinate those functions with Warner Bros.
According to international reports, 450 jobs will be axed at New Line as a result of the combination. Reuters reports that Warner Bros will offer jobs to about 40 former New Line employees. Only 40 to 50 employees will remain with the division.
