The futurist Will Smith thriller “I am Legend’ is currently at the top of the South African box office after two weeks in release. It made R3.5m in its opening weekend and R1.9m in the second weekend (4 to 6 January).
In second spot for the same weekend is the new Joaquin Phoenix/Mark Wahlberg crime drama, “We Own The Night’. This is followed by the fairy tale-like “Enchanted’.
In fourth and fifth spot are the family film “Alvin & The Chipmunks’ and the effects-ridden “Alien vs Predator 2′.
