The Docusur International Festival of Films from the South, to be held in Tenerife, Spain in November, will be presenting a Special Focus on the films of local documentary maker Francois Verster.
Verster’s production The Mother’s House (A Luna Films/SABC/Undercurrent Film & Television coproduction) won the Best International Feature prize at the festival last year. Versterf will be in attendance at this year’s festival and will also be pitching a new project in development with Luna Films entitled The Dream of Shahrazad at the Docusur Market.
A retrospective of three of Verster’s films – The Mother’s House, When the War is Over and Emmy Award-winning A Lion’s Trail – will be shown at the festival, which runs from 11 to 18 November.
