Media agency ZenithOptimedia says that there will be a limited return to growth for the creative industry and TV advertising in the next year.

Zenith says the market will stabilise this year, expanding next year by about two per cent (which is still below inflation) in the UK. The report predicts that TV’s share of the overall advertising market will fall, from 27.2% in 2006 to just 22.7% by 2012.

Zenith singles out ITV which is says will continue to decline, by as much as 7% year-on-year. ITV’s digital channels will not save the day as there will still be a fall of some 4% across all its channels.
