The ASIA TELEVISON FORUM (ATF) is Asia’s leading TV programming market and offers the SA television industry an opportunity to meet important Asian buyers, sellers and partners from 27 countries from South East Asia (Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, South Asia Bangladesh, Bhutain, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka), East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Oceania (Australia, New Zealand) as well as from Canada, France, Singapore, Spain and USA.

ATF which is co-located with Asia Film Market & Conference (AFMC) makes up the single, most comprehensive content sourcing platform in Asia. While participants are representative of a culturally diverse Asia, the market is nevertheless English-speaking.

Hotel format

ATF is presented in a cost-effective hotel format and the cost of a Superior or Deluxe Suite can be shared by two companies. As it is a hotel suite, it will not require furnishing and it also includes a television set and VCR.

2006 ATF delegate demographics

The 7th edition of ATF expects over 400 Asian buyers, ranging from the middle to senior management (from President, Executive Director, Head of Acquisition & Distribution, Programme Acquisitions & Producer, International Programs Planning Manager etc) from countries across Asia. ATF will release the list of buyers and sellers on its website towards the end of October so people can make appointments and preparation for the market.

New export opportunity

ATF is an excellent opportunity for South Africa to expand its market and co-production projects into a new or relatively unexplored region.
