Quicklink will be showcasing the latest in professional broadcast solutions at the Concillium Technologies booth (Booth E9) at Mediatech Africa, Africa’s only media and entertainment technology trade show running from 15 to 17 July at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg.
Under the spotlight will be the Quicklink TX, designed in partnership with Microsoft
to bring remote guests into a live production. The Quicklink TX enables professional
reception or transmission of Skype calls through the SDI and HDMI interface. As the
Quicklink TX can receive from any video-enabled Skype device, it offers
broadcasters unrivalled access to 300 million monthly connected Skype users.
Quicklink have also announced their new software solution for the Quicklink Skype
TX called Bondio™. This software is available free of charge for a
limited period with the purchase of the Quicklink Skype TX. Bondio™ improves
bandwidth by bonding a combination of internet connections together to create one
super connection. This allows broadcasters to use the solution even when they have
lossy networks in order to produce a single stable, high quality transmission.
