Mediamark, the media sales house, jointly owned by South African media group Kagiso Media and French media group Lagardere, has promoted Cindy Diamond to group sales director. In her new role, Diamond will be responsible for driving an integrated sales strategy and culture across the various platforms and channels for which Mediamark offers solutions.

Diamond was a key player in the transformation of Radmark from a specialist radio sales house into the multichannel sales operation Mediamark now is. She has played an important role in shaping Mediamark’s marketing and sales strategies over the years.

Says Mediamark’s MD, Talib Sadik, “As a growing converged media sales house, Mediamark needs an integrated sales proposition that spans radio, digital, events, TV and other channels. We can think of no one better to lead our sales operations than Cindy, who has a thorough knowledge of the industry, the brands Mediamark represents and great relationships with advertising agencies and their clients.’

Her sales record has been excellent over the years and she is a superb strategic thinker who offers a rare mix of commercial sense and creativity. This, combined with her entrepreneurial flair and management skills makes her a great fit for this important role. I look forward to working with her to grow our business in the months to come.’
