The Masterclass Series will be held in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and
Port Elizabeth from September 2014 and will cover training in the TV and
animation industry from inception to distribution.
Fifty-six writers and producers attended the first three-day workshop held by
Pamela Douglas in August last year.
This year Binary Filmworks, Zeropoint Studios and Pollen Creative Media are
working together to organise a Masterclass – aimed at creators, producers, and
writers – where attendees will benefit from international expertise.
The workshops will be held in Johannesburg and Cape Town and available via
stream in Port Elizabeth and Durban.
Pamela Douglas will be back to build on last year’s workshop, beginning with a
repeat of the previous year’s material followed by a three-day workshop on The
Future of Television, the theme of Douglas’ latest book, which is due for
publication in October.
Along with Douglas, Canadian children’s writer and story editor Clive Endersby,
Emmy-nominated animation writer and director Mike De Seve, and international
television and media consultant Justine Bannister, will also be sharing.
Final dates are still to be confirmed.
