Lesego Motsepe, best known for her portrayal of Letti Matabane in the popular
soap Isidingo, was found dead in her home on Monday 20 January. She died of
natural causes.
The 39-year-old actress, who was a member of the Isidingo cast for 10 years,
announced in 2011 that she was HIV-positive and that she had been living with
the disease since 1998. She became an AIDS Ambassador and fought hard against
the social stigma that people with the disease face. In addition to her acting work,
she was also a poet and storyteller.
Motsepe is survived by her mother, brothers and nephews.
