Durban filmmakers who want to apply for the Durban Film Office’s (DFO) recently
launched Development Fund Programme have until 13 January 2014 at 17h00 to
submit their proposals. The programme will provide two projects per annum with
up to R250,000 in development funding, commencing from 1 April 2014.

Toni Monty, head of DFO, says: “We believe the programme will offer an ideal
investment opportunity for both locally distinguished filmmakers as well as
towards the promotion of our progressive film industry.’

The programme will accept project proposals from experienced writers,
producers and directors that display commercial viability, prospective investment
and collaboration opportunities as well as local and global competitiveness.
