Special pre-release screenings of holiday films

During December, Ster-Kinekor is giving audiences the chance to view special
pre-release screenings of some of 2013’s most anticipated films.

Before their national release, moviegoers can watch The Hobbit: Desolation of
Smaug, the sequel to The Hobbit, in 3D at all Ster-Kinekor sites at 17h00 and
20h00 on Thursday 12 December.

The adventures of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) continues in The Hobbit: The
Desolation of Smaug, as he travels with the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and
his 13 dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), on an epic
mission to recover the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

The latest animation release from the Disney stable, Frozen, screens on Monday
16 December throughout the day.

In Frozen, two princesses in the kingdom of Arendelle, Elsa (Idina Menzel), who
has the ability to create snow and ice, and Anna (Kristen Bell) have to battle the
arrogant Duke of Weselton (Alan Tudyk). After Elsa goes into hiding when her
emotions trigger an a magical and eternal winter, Anna travels with mountain
man Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Sven, his reindeer sidekick, encountering
magic trolls and a hilarious snowman, Olaf (Josh Gad), in the search for her
sister.
