date.
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom follows closely after screening for a week (despite
not showing for 48 hours after the announcement of Nelson Mandela’s death, in
honour of the late international icon). To date, Anant Singh’s visionary film has
earned R8,363,238 following its nationwide opening.
Afrikaans-language musical, As Jy Sing, has earned R5,286,383 after three weeks
on the national circuit while animation feature Khumba has made R8,135,484 –
now in cinemas for six weeks.
International blockbuster Thor: The Dark World is still wielding its hammer
countrywide with earnings of R19,719,265 since its release five weeks ago.
