Coming up on Carte Blanche‎ on M-Net and M-Net HD (DStv Channel 101) on Sunday 3
November at 19h00, the team brings viewers war stories from South African
classrooms, experts reveal what to do when pulled over by the police, and the team
investigates whether we’re really a rainbow nation 20 years on.

Teacher Abuse
While matrics are writing their finals, some schools in South Africa remain
battlegrounds. This past week, an 18-year-old pupil from KwaZulu-Natal was stabbed
to death after a fight with classmates, which was captured on video. But it’s not only
pupils who are victims; teachers are at the receiving end of violence too.

Produced by Sophia Phirippides and presented by Bongani Bingwa.

Journalists: Sasha Schwendenwein and Chwayitisa Futshane

Cop-jacking Tips
In a case of mistaken identity, rapper Khuli Chana was shot and wounded by police
this week in an incident that once again ignited the “to stop for cops or not’ debate.
What to do when you’re pulled over by police?

Produced by Nicky Troll and presented by Devi Sankaree Govender.

Mamelodi for a Month
A white Pretoria family who recently moved to Mamelodi for a month attracted
worldwide media attention. Why is this the case in a country that moved from a
society where racism was institutionalised, to a supposed rainbow nation nearly 20
years ago?

Producer by Carol Albertyn Christie and presenter by Bongani Bingwa.

Journalist: Bombi Mavundza
